With most current cycle counters on the market, personnel can see the counter advancing and hear the pump cycling and mistakenly assume that everything is functioning properly. It is not obvious, however, whether the discharge line is disconnected, or the ball in the discharge check valve is missing. There is no real way to know if the fluid inlet check is stuck open. Or if fluid is actually being pumped to the surface. The Xact Count cycle counter solves all these issues by directly monitoring the water discharge flow rather than monitoring pneumatic airflow as a proxy.

While designed specifically for AP4 landfill remediation pumps, the Xact Count is capable of monitoring flow on many different applications. The liquid pulse detecting unit is placed in-line between a pump and its discharge reservoir or force main. It requires no external power source. A digital readout displays the number of times a pump cycles. An Xact Count cycle counter consists of a valve housing, an internally located and magnetically integrated poppet, and a digital display.

All wetted parts of the Xact Count are 316 stainless steel, and the seat and poppet are also constructed of wear-resistant stainless steel. The internals of the valve have been optimized for maximum debris to pass and for minimal fluid disruption. The design eliminates the need for an airline counter and thus minimizes airline restrictions. The Xact Count acts as a discharge check valve while also outperforming

competitors at leakback prevention. It can be serviced and cleaned in minutes with minimal tools. The Xact Count provides high accuracy in conditions where pump submergence is less than or equal to 2/3 of pump depth (AP4).
