A viral optical illusion is claimed to give an insight into your personality - showing whether you like to 'go with the flow' or prefer to have control.

The image - showing both a 'beauty' and a 'beast' in the silhouette of a tree - was shared by TikTok star Mia Yilin, who has over 450,000 followers on the social media app. Mia claims that which of the two figures you see first can provide a valuable insight into your personality.

If you see a black tiger, this means you are a "natural leader" who likes to "keep things under control by being in charge", she said. She added: "In times of need people often turn to you to seek advice because they know that they can always depend on you to make things right. However, you should be wary of people trying to take advantage of you.."

But other viewers are likely to see the 'beauty' in the image, which is an outline of a woman's face. This means you're a "very patient person" who is "okay with the challenges and trials that come with life" and likes to "go with the flow".

She explained: "This doesn't mean you're a pushover but you like to be the bigger man and rise above things by compromising and listening to what others have to say. With that being said, you're also very honest and like to give it to people straight,"

Mia's followers appeared to be impressed with the effects of the illusion in the comments, and TikTok users took the opportunity to reveal which they saw of the beauty or beast - while appearing to agree with the conclusions about themselves from the two images. One wrote "Scary how accurate she can be", while another said: "Always on point!". Others however did not seem to get the same effects from the photo, as a puzzled person said: "I saw three things at the same time."

In another recent video, Mia Yilin showed a picture which can supposedly tell you if you are easily heartbroken or have commitment issues when it comes to finding a partner. Mia said in the clip: "What is the first thing you see in this picture? If you first saw the cloud, although you may seem like a very resilient and brave person on the outside, in reality, you're quite sensitive. [You may] have a heart that is easily broken. As a result, you often find yourself hurt by the words and actions of others."
